Ordering Stationery FAQ's

Ordering your handmade wedding stationery is easy using our BUY NOW system in our online shop.

You might have already decided on your design & colour scheme, and wish to place a firm order, or you might like to see a sample of your stationery first.

Can I get samples?

We are more than happy to make up samples of our hand made stationery to help you choose your style. Sample are priced a standard cost per item, plus postage & packing. Use the 'Order Sample' section in our shop to calculate the cost of the samples you require.

Note: samples are copyright protected. By Wendy will take legal action against any person or persons copying or reproducing our designs and/or products.

Will you give me a quote of the total cost?

For a no obligation quote for wedding stationery from one of our featured ranges please use the 'CONTACT US' link. Just list the items and quantities you require then send it to us. We'll send back a quote for your complete order, including any current offers we have.

Can I Order Online?

If you know exactly what you want, you can order your stationery directly from our online shop. Here you will have the the opportunity to select ribbon, card and embellishments as you require. Can I order by mail?

If you prefer to order by mail just contact us with your name & address then we can send out an 'Order Pack' to enable you to place your order.

How do I pay?

Online orders can be placed using our secure PayPal service.

Orders made by post or telephone can be paid by cheque, internet transfer or PayPal.

How much is postage & packing?

Delivery will be either by Royal Mail, Parcel Force (48hr), courier or personal delivery (in our locality).

Costs will be:
- Order value from £0.01 to £4.99 - postage charge is £1.95
- Order value from £5.00 to £12.49 - postage charge is £3.95
- Order value from £12.50 to £29.99 - postage charge is £4.95
- Order value from £30.00 to £59.99* - postage charge is £7.95
- Order value from £60.00 upwards - postage charge is £9.95
*Table plans are charged, in addition to other items ordered, at £19.95 and are usually delivered by courier service. We will contact you to tell you when we are shipping your table plan. Additional costs may be incurred if you request a 'before 9am delivery' or a 'saturday delivery'. Contact us for details.

Local customers are most welcome to collect their order in person. If you  wish to do so, please let us know & we will refund your p&p costs.

What if I want a bespoke Design?

If you have something particular in mind and require a bespoke design, or you would like further advice please phone or e-mail us. We can discuss your ideas & come up with a design for you free of charge.

If you live in North East England we arrange an appointment for you to visit us in our design studio, alternatively we can visit you at home for a free* personal consultation.

You can view samples of our products and work with our designer to design truly bespoke stationery.

*free within 20 mile radius of Bedlington, Northumberland. A nominal fee is charged for consultations outside this area.

What happens after I've placed my order?

Once your order is confirmed and payment recived, we will contact you regarding the details such as wording on your stationery if necessary.

You will then receive a proof of your stationery, either by post or e-mail,  before we begin to print. You need to check this proof carefully to ensure all names, times and venues etc are correct etc.

You can then make any changes required, sign the proof and return it to us. By approving your proof you are accepting our terms & conditions.

At this point we should be able to give you an estimated delivery date.

When will I recieve my order?

This depends on the items ordered, time of year, how quickly you supply requested information and our workload. We usually complete orders large orders within six to eight weeks but smaller orders often orders delivered  within 14 - 28 days. 

Samples are generally sent out within 14 days.

When should I order my stationery?

We advise you to order as early as possible as our lead times fluctuate depending upon demand.

Wedding invitations are generally sent out about 3 months before the event so they need to be ordered well in advance. We generally work by booking our customers production slots 3-6 months before the wedding for their invitation. This gives you and us time to check details such as menus, Order of Service information etc before production.

Other items, such as table plans & guest name settings are produced 2-4 weeks before the event unless you request otherwise.

You will be given the date of your production slots when we confirm your order.

We highly recommend that you order all your wedding stationery at once, with an estimate of the number of orders of service, menus etc so that we can book you production slots and ensure continuity of your design (exact numbers, guest names, menu details and order of service contents, can be confirmed at a later date).

What If I Need My Stationery Quickly?

We can often produce your stationery within 6 weeks of ordering if necessary. Express orders may be available but they are liable to a surcharge, at our discretion, and are dependant on the size of your order, the design required and our current workload. Orders for items incorporating Envelepments card stock require at least 14 days notice as we must ship materials from the USA.

How Many Invitations?

It is wise to order a few spares for extra guests and any errors when you write out your wedding invitations. It is customary to include one invitation per family including a courtesy one for the groom's parents, and the minister and their partner. Also include family and friends who you may already know cannot come, but who would appreciate receiving an invitation, for example a grandparent. As a general rule you require one Order of Service for every 2 guests.

What if you need more later?

Once we have agreed your design, we can provide you with further stationery at a later date if necessary. We will of course endeavour to make extra stationery in the same materials as your original order, however we can not garauntee this when circumstances are beyond our control. For example, discontinuation of materials by our suppliers.
