Wedding Stationery Terms and Conditions
Alterations
The client agrees to notify 'By Wendy' immediately of any changes to names, addresses, dates etc. 'By Wendy' will endeavour to make any changes free of charge providing production is not underway.
Copyright
All artwork and designs are copyright of 'By Wendy'. Legal action will be taken against any person or persons infringing this copyright.
The client is responsible for obtaining permission for printed reproduction of any material, poems, hymns, songs etc that is requested by the client. The client indemnifies 'By Wendy' against any action brought against it for breach of a third parties copyright.
Data Protection
'By Wendy' will not share any information you give with any third party without your express permission.
Deposit
Orders cannot commence without a completed order form and a 50% deposit (for orders over £100) or £50 (orders less than £100). This deposit is non-refundable. Any orders cancelled less than 6 weeks before the agreed completion date are liable for full payment.
Final payment is due at least 14 days prior to the agreed production date. Production will not go ahead until the outstanding balance is recieved.
Payment of the deposit is understood to be acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Payment can be by cheque (payable to 'By Wendy'). Paypal or debit card can also be used. Please contact us if you wish to use these methods of payment.
Production Slots
As all of our products are hand crafted each order is allocated a production slot. At peak times we can be fully booked, hence we are unable to hold open production slots without receipt of the above deposit.
To assist customers who are placing substantial orders (in excess of £100) we have introduced the option of paying a £20 non-refundable 'holding fee.' This may be paid at the time of ordering to reserve a production slot for a period of 28 days. The remainder of the 50% deposit MUST be received within this 28 day period in order to confirm this production slot. Should this not be received within 28 days the production slot will be re-opened and may be booked by other customers.
Delivery
Delivery is usually by courier or by Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery; 'By Wendy' reserves the right to use other carriers. Whilst every care is taken to pack the order 'By Wendy' cannot be held liable for loss or damage in transit.
Rush orders
As our products are handmade, we request that customers allow a minimum of 6 weeks from ordering to delivery. Occasionally we can rush an order through (depending on workload) however we charge a percentage fee for this service as follows:
Order required in 5 weeks rush fee = 10% total order value),
Order required in 4 weeks rush fee = 20% total order value),
Order required in 3 weeks rush fee = 30% total order value),
Order required in 2 weeks rush fee = 40% total order value),
Order required in 1 week rush fee = 50% total order value),
Please note it may not always be possible to produce orders within this time, depending on volume of work & stock levels.
Our Products
The client should be aware that our products and packaging are not suitable for children.
As all wedding stationery items are handmade the client accepts there will be slight variations between items. 'By Wendy' cannot be held responsible for the natural aging of products.
If the client orders wedding stationery in stages then 'By Wendy' cannot guarantee continuity of design.
'By Wendy' makes every attempt to represent our products as accurately as possible and any images we publish are for illustrative purposes only. Colour reproduction is as accurate as possible via the various mediums. 'By Wendy' encourages the use of 'boxalopes' or padded postal bags if stationery is to be send via mail. Please contact us if you would like us to supply these items. We cannot be held accountable for any damage caused to our products whilst on route from the customer to their final destination.
Proofs
While we take every care in producing your proofs it is the responsibility of the client to proof read any text prior to printing. Proofs must be signed, dated and returned or confirmed via email. Once the proofs have been signed off any further alterations may incur an additional charge.
Samples
'By Wendy' will provide one initial design change within the sample fee. Any subsequent design alterations may incur a further design fee. 'By Wendy' will issue a quote for the final product based on the client's chosen design.
Miscellaneous
'By Wendy' will endeavour to supply the client as agreed but cannot be held liable for situations beyond it's control, for example, discontinued materials and postal disputes. In such cases a suitable alternative will be made available.
